People kept asking — so here’s my story.
I’m the son of Nick Iannone and my late mother, Janet Iannone — long-time past owners of the Okanagan Hockey School here in Penticton. It’s where my family put down roots, and where I’ve built my business and raised my family.
I’ve been married to my beautiful wife Stephanie for 35 years. Together we have four amazing adult children, and we’re grandparents to five grandsons and one granddaughter. They’re a big part of why I’m running — for the citizens of Penticton, including me and my family.
In 2002, after many years working all over the world, I started my own business, Hardrock Diamond Drilling. For the past 24 years I’ve built it into what it is today — a very well-established company. In 2008 we also purchased the old Pasadena Fitness Club, updated the facility, and ran the Penticton Racquet & Fitness Club for approximately ten years.
“I decided to run because I care about the citizens of Penticton.”
I was getting ready to step back from my current position, hoping to retire, do less and travel more. But I feel Penticton needs someone like myself who isn’t afraid to ruffle feathers, and doesn’t have a politician’s mindset.
If there’s one thing I am, it’s honest. I decided to run because I care — and I’m going to try and make a difference.
